Many of the so called great guitar legends and guitar tutors of today (and of the past 50 years) still recognise Hendrix to be the best blues,psychedelic rock,rhythm guitar player to have ever walked the earth.
Others just don't get it at all. Let those who have ears hear!

It's subjective though isn't it . Pink floyde ,early Fleetwood mac , stones . I would put all of there lead guitarists ahead. Mainly because i kike them and I'm not that keen on Hendrix * +

Yes of course it is.
Having said that you don't have to like someone's work to recognise their talent. E.g. I can't stand Freddie Mercury's singing..I just don't like it...yet i recognise it's absolutely amazing and brilliant.
