groups of people can act in ways that are way worse than one person alone would likely choose.

they wouldn't even know why they do all those types of things. but it's kind of about making themselves feel good that there's someone they can point at and laugh at who's in a situation they wouldn't want to be in.

they or we (as humans) are riddled with self doubt and insecurities and an inability to construct a functioning model of our self worth that lasts. we slip into acting out our issues upon others without being conscious of it.

if someone bullies a short person they're trying to convince themselves they should be able to derive value in their own stature because they can't think of anything else. but it doesn't really work out for them. * +

So this other day I was delivering food via foodpanda. I do that as a side project on weekends; anyway, I was in a mall, and there was this little fat Chinese kid, about 11 years old and there was another scrawny kid. I was minding my own business then all of a sudden this fat kid with glasses and round nose shows me a middle finger then when I look sharply at him, he giggles and pretends he doesn't see me.

I just kept staring at him after that. He starts walking rapidly with his fat little legs. Then he got on an escalator with his friend. I followed him up on it. He was visibly sweating. I kept staring at him as we were going up the elevator. I noticed he hid in a corner, i pretended I didn't see him and started to go up on the escalator. My eyes were darted back at him, as soon as he knew I went up, he crept out from the corner and started walking with his friend back downstairs.

I quickly took the escalator down and immediately caught up right behind him. I coughed. He looked back. I was about 2 feet away from him. I pretended to caught him. Little sh*t was terrorized, he started running away as fast he could, leaving behind his other friend.

I was late with that delivery, but it was worth it. The end. * +
