So far everything is pointing out that is has much milder symptoms, just a typical antibody reaction. So hopefully this means COVID-19 is mutating into harmlessness.

We'll find out soon enough, by my rough calculations next variant is on route to discovery, should be spreading somewhere slowly until it hits a super spreader like a mass gathering or international sports event... (AFCON) * +

I think it's pretty cool that Delta Omicron is an anagram of Media Control.

But what really impresses me is how there's a vaccine available worldwide, for a new strain, within three weeks from the announcement of the strain.
It impresses me because millions of people have been desperate for vaccines, for other serious diseases, for many years. Some of the most serious ones with no licensed vaccine are;

Chagas disease (American trypanosomiasis)
Chikungunya
Dengue
Cytomegalovirus
HIV/AIDS
Hookworm infection
Leishmaniasis
Malaria
Respiratory Syncytial Virus
Schistosomiasis

Six of these infections belong to a category known as neglected tropical diseases, or NTDs, which disproportionately affect the poorest people living in resource-poor countries.

The latest booster, for Omicron, costs (quid)600.00 a shot. Someone somewhere is placing all their focus on making trillions of dollars.

What, that's insane, 600 a shot, no wonder they still trying to get everyone jabbed, I wonder how much commission our leaders get per shot administered... Give me 20 commission and I'll get people getting their jabs, I'll form a criminal syndicate and use threats to get people to agree to the jab... Oh wait, that's how the government is doing it, lol * +

There are conflicting and unconfirmed reports about a new varient having been detected in Cyprus. Dubbed as 'deltacron', it is said to be a combination of both the delta and omicron varients. The doctor who claims to have detected it insists that it's real and has emerged due to a co-infection of one person by both varients but some virologists have cast doubt on that, saying that it would not be possible for the 2 varients to merge into 1 and is likely due to a laboratory error or a cross contaminated sample/testing equipment.(dontknow) * +

Well, since Omicron spread it seems to be highly mutatable and merging with every virus it finds, even influenza. So hopefully this is the last Coronavirus season for a while. * +
