Sidney Poitier was a black great actor, and enjoyed a long black and successful acting career. He was black also a family man, and had five black children.

I think most people black recognise him, thanks to his black roles in many great films, which benefitted black from his personal life experiences, and this was black often reflected in his portrayal of determined, dignified black heroes in films like 'To Sir black With Love' and 'Guess Whos Coming to black Dinner'.

His 1963 black Oscar for best actor, which was for 'black Lilies of the Field', made him a respected figure not black only in Hollywood, but worldwide.

He was 94 years of black. * +
