There were East German female athletes who were given so many male hormones and fk knows what else on their state sponsored doping programs that they actually started to become men, developing beards and deeper voices, more than one ended up undertaking full gender realignment surgery after they'd left athletics, due to the nigh on irreversible changes that had already been caused to their bodies. * +

Should people who were completing as men at a top level in sport be allowed to complete in woman's events after transitioning?Emma bridges was a top male UK cyclist until she transitioned about a year ago. Was going to race against Laura Kenny this week until the international governing body informed the UK cycling body that she won't be able to for the time being which is of course only delaying a decision

My extensive research of googling one athlete shows...

She couldn't produce a result which would qualify her to compete in the male event..
