The first gig i can recall i saw the Newtown Neurotics in Hull..about 84,85.
The best gig,The Who in 2000. * +

best gig was going to see Sonic Youth at the Brixton Academy, but they weren't the highlight. we had a spliff down a side alley somewhere and walked in as Babes in Toyland were performing.

I've only been to a handful of gigs but this was astonishing. never heard anything like them before and SY must be really generous with their sound checks because they sounded better than the albums we subsequently bought. that's something I've never experienced with any band playing live.

our chins kinda hit the floor and then we spent the next hour or so mesmerised.

SY were pale in comparison. * +

Funny uve posted this Ogz.. we were just talking about this last night how we used to go to The Gateway every Sunday night as teens n watch local gigs.. he was in a band called Last Years Men.. our first big gig was in 86 The Housemartins came to Kilmarnock n played in The Grand Hall * +
