Personally, I pray when a friend or family member's ill. But not everyone goes to hospital, a clinic or a gp being fully conscious of Gods part in the healing process, I think. Alternative healing like accupuncture or crystal channeling isn't self help is it? * +

yes it is.You are becoming the mediator for man when Jesus is the only mediator and which god could this be who has man as the mediator.The self help industry is linked to starting all this ...Christ says come out of her My people.I will give you everything that will make you prosper... * +

There's nothing wrong with others praying for you when you're sick. Plus healing is one of the 9 gifts of the spirit. You may not always get healed just by praying for yourself or letting any christian pray for you. But when someone with the particular anointing to perform healings prays for you its a definite healing, unless otherwise. Its a blessing if you know such an anointed christian. * +

How does someone get that particular annointing? And when you say a definate healing, do you mean for any ailment? Cause ive seen televangelists here claim to cure aids. It's disturbing. * +
