You won't feel that guilt if you didn't believed and feared god in the first place. Guilt doesn't cause fear. Fear causes worry, and worry causes guilt. yawn

Never pictured growing up without hearing about a god. Wonder what people in North Korea would think. thinking * +

What are you talking about? There is absolutely nothing wrong in wanting to aspire to be someone better, most of us base our entire lives based on other people's accomplishments... This is how we build our goals and take control of our life until finally death comes to us. It does not matter what your God or bible says.

There's this 'emptiness' many of us feel within us. We search long and hard, realising later it was the search for a better understanding of our place within the world. As we grow older, we feel unsatisfied. God fills that place- for some of us. * +

Yeah, they grew up with some rare illness called 'common sense' you know, not believing in talking snakes, flying horse, etc etc. And they don't live on Mars, they live on Earth. Yes, they have heard of God facepalm * +

That's the only reason God/s is/are invented, to fill that emptiness and give meaning to your life. Which is quite childish in my opinion. * +

Even that emptiness is a part of circular reasoning used to convince people to believe in god. I could remember the idea being introduced to me during my childhood. Well, honestly, the idea of god's existence became my philosophical burden for years, until recently I decided to cross it out. I can say that the emptiness is nothing but a part of childhood delusion to reinforce the need to believe in god. *
