they are mutually independent. few things can be driven by religion, but those can develop without religion as well. * +

like when a new religion is brought to a pagan ppl who eats pork meat traditionaly but the new religion say pork meat is forbidden but the ppl still eat pork meat becuz it's tradition. * +
