A few years ago South Africa internationally took a stand against the active discrimination perpetrated towards the LGBT community globally by getting the UN to hold a welcome discussion between all the member countries. As the matter was discussed in front of the UN, many African and Islamic countries stormed out and condemning the issue from ever being brought up again.
