You know sometimes I wonder if we really appreciate the miracle that happened. And as an atheist I don't use the word miracle lightly. I see people on this site often commemorate their WW2 heroes, even though they weren't even there, and it means nothing to me, but I can respect their feelings and history. Apartheid and the subsequent freedom we gained was real for me, I was there. It's a different time now, with new challenges, but I think it's OK on this 20th year of our freedom to remember and reflect while still challenging and holding to account those now in power. * +

yes, as free as anyone can be anyhow... things are far from perfect but Apartheid was criminal... and we have freedom to live our beliefs, talk our language etc. we have a far way to go, but we are as free as a person can be. * +

Apartheid is still well and alive in the new South Africa. It is only reversed . It is white people whp arediscriminated agenst in the new SA . When it was agents the blacks it was criminal , but when its agenst white people , it is nothong . Close your eyes and walk on . * +
