Either way, it works the opposite. People who can afford kids don't have them and those who can't, have them. And it also works best that way due to mortality rates. Anyways, back to Cherokee religions. * +

Hunger is only one aspect. If the aid agencies can only innoculate 4 out of ten, let's have six in the hope that one or two might survive... Breeding like rabbits may be one solution, but not without it's own problems.

I read somewhere that in the past, the ppl of Europe prefer to have abt ten kids per family, because medicine was poor those days and they ppl were dieing young and those who survive were the ones that were taking the family further. * +

The Sioux is not a correct term to use. The Sioux comes from French which means cut-throat. But the people you're referring to called themselves The people, the Lakota. :-) *
