Nope no need for antivirus soft for any s40 at all!! Only s60v2 phns like my 76i0 requires such soft * +

@dorian. Why does only s60v2 need anti-virus and not s60v3? What are the intricate differences between the symbian v3 and v2 OS that make v2 more susceptible to self-replicating algorithms? You seem to very knowledgable about nokia OS characteristics. Perhaps you can provide some info about legitimate symbian virus'? And not that stoopid bluetooth thing that did the rounds as a technical exercise. * +

S60v3 has a very high platform security, that means, one cannot access the system folders easily....Plus, no one has ever think of making a virus for these phones due to the above reason.....However, you can reach and access the system folders by hacking a phone....S60v2, didn't have this feature so, one can easily get access to the system folders made it easy for virus makers to make a lot of... * +
