I don't think so. But using prov rescues you from all hassles for manual settings. * +

.prov is better as you don't have to setup everything in your phone except messaging applications personal configuration can't give proxy option * +

No apps can run use direct internet access point like rcomnet , airtelgprs.com, etc. *
