Hello guys! I realised that my friend's n95 regular doesn't have the NETWORK MODE option in the phone settings menu...could this be corrected thru a FW upgrade? the current firmware is a little outdated (v21 or something) but its been working fine with it with little or no bugs so i just felt he would be better off leaving it that way.Whats ur advice guys? Would the FW UPGRADE ADD THE NETWORK MODE OPTION? Many thanks in advance * +

assumed original 95 uses,used.. dual.. umts and gsm as settings . later mods just dual and gsm.. Depends on what provider is used also determines what is shown..... I think .. What does it show in phone network settg * +

A firmware upgrade wouldnt add that...unless it was indicated in the change log-and I doubt it,as this would be an update for all N95s!!On the other hand,changing the phone's entire firmware e.g using NSSU and other similar applications..changing to a diffrent region/model,might fix it. But I wonder why anyone would go to such trouble and risk just to see 'Network selection' option!lol...I suggest * +

He upgrades to the most recent firmware,but for the right reasons! The fact is that his phone is working fine as it is...let it be.. * +

wat kaitleen said. U've got network firmware on that fone, and they've taken that option off wats in the menu, google for n95 generic product codes and use a pc app called nemesis service suite or 1 called phoenix 2 change that network branded code 2 a standard nokia code and then u'll get this option back. Or go2 nokia care and ask the 2 debrand the fw 4 u 2 standard nokia 1 and they will for 3 * +
