Howzit! Pls help, when i switch on my pc, (foxcon), it shows the foxcon screen then the press any key to boot from cd screen but the it jus goes black, tried re-installing xp but it doesn't even boot from cd, im frustrated * +

turn it off, wait 10 seconds then turn it on again. * +

check that your CD Drive has no disc in it. Than go to the CMOS and make sure your booth priority is right. Put first, CD drive than, HDD. * +

press any key to boot. there is your answer mate. is it a original copy of xp or is it a disk you got from a mate but it sounds like its not bootable. that or the drive struggle to read the disk. check the led on the cd drive if its on the hole time and how long it stays on *
