Hi all. My pc won't read dvd rom. It shows up in windows but says please insert device. Cannot read anything * +

is device manager reporting problems with your dvd rom?do you have daemon tools or virtual drives enabled? * +

Does your DVD ROM drive work on another computer? Perhaps you need to replace it. * +

DVD-R? What disk did you used in it. It sounds like it cant read the disk. If the dvd lens had a error you would get crc errors. go in event viewer and see whats the hold up *
