check your system for malware. malwarebytes or a-squared will do it. also get a decent av. if the problem persits then you need to check for compatablity isssues. * +

and ofcoars win7 will murder your cpu it realy does need a dual core minimum as its designed with dual cores in mind. chances are your running low on ram 2 * +

i wish guys like you would stop putting o.s's on there machines that are way beyond what the machine is capable of running, its 1 thing to get the o.s. installed but its another to have it usable. go back to xp sp3 your pc will thank you for it. * +

i mean seriously your machine is 10 years old yet you want to run a 6 month old o.s. things have moved on quite a bit, and the demands on systems have to. win 7 will take nearly a gig of ram to run i bet thats what you have. a p4 with 1 gig of ram? i bet you tryed instaling crysis on it too? lol * +

basicaly your asking to much of ancient hardware. you want to run gta4 and your nowhere near it specs whise. chances are you have been infected by a crack file coz i doupt you baught it. so good luck with that. * +

in defence of us poor chaps out there.. we just wanna test or try out these new developmenst till we get the correct hardware. i installed win 7 and although i noticed the startup time was slow all seems fine. i have 1 gig of ram only btw. I only ran back of xp coz of low hard disk space otherwise i already love win7 and going back to it soon. yes i get the point ppl shouldnt complain when they... * +

try to run new o.s or software on ancient hardware but in their defence... l*st for new technology. plus its easier to hustle new software than it is to hustle new hardware. not creating war just making a point. * +
