i have a i7 q720 in my asus laptop which apparently can be boosted 1.60 GHz, up to 2.80 with turbo boost . so how do i enable this feature and is it advisable to use the feature on laptops my cores already run around 60 c * +

turbo mode is turned on in bios on the desktops so i guess it will be in the bios for lappys 2 * +

a max temp of 60 is normal for these chips btw, so nothing to worry about. * +

whats your experience of using this feature jay . is it worth using it in laptops as i dont seem to get very good ventilation to the processors .. thanks * +

Anything above 70c is way too hot for any cpu in my oppinion. * +

if you feel its to warm m8 then you can dissable turbo mode you wont realy notice it untill you do somthing demanding anyway, like games or video compression. and leaving it off means less power usage, so longer battery life. * +
