Last week I purchased the new LG BH10LS30 Bluray writer. I installed the bundled software and last Saturday I picked up a copy of Terminator Salvation - it played perfectly. I'm running Win7 Ultimate - 64bit. Two days ago I tried playing it again and it doesnt read the disc - PC just halts and drive light flashes. Nothing was changed on my system and the disc / writer are both NOT damaged. * +

I uninstalled all the software and re-installed them - NOTHING. I updated the firmware version - NOTHING. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the device - NOTHING. I installed PowerDVD 10 - NOTHING. However, the dirve does read CD's and DVD's just fine. I'm puzzled as to whats wrong. The disc I have is Region A, and the drive is set to Region A. I'm returning the drive for a new one. * +

I will try the drive tommorrow on my other PC and see if it works. If it does, then theres a problem with Windows. * +

My 2nd PC had Windows Vista so I will see if the drive is able to read the discs. * +

Paid 199 USD for this drive. I hate having silly issues like this. *
