the other day when i powered up my laptop, it went to a black screen on start up with a message along the lines of WARNING: internal battery is running low, (i think it said: replace immediately as well but the message only appeared for 10 seconds). i was wondering, what battery is it referring to? cmos or whatever it is? is it urgent i get a new battery as soon as possible? and... * +

btw i havent got the message since... but if i do have to replace this battery, is it easy to do? im not too good with tech but i can open the laptop and replace the battery without breaking stuff if i have to * +

thanks for the swift reply. yep its a laptop so it would be trickier to replce i guess. what happens if it goes flat/dies? is it going to do anything bad to the system? * +
