My new tv has a gaming mode. When I select it, the picture just looks darker and less detailed. A quick google says it increases the response time. Is it worth using gaming mode or should I just stick with the pretty picture?

i find pc mode on my tv is much better for gaming than normal mode . especially playing over hdmi so yes it does make a diff but dont think it increases refresh rate * +

deppends. if your tv's normal responce time is 5ms then you dont need gaming mode. if its 8ms or above then yes use it. * +

Yeah, it's 5ms... I've tried the THX optimizer, but ''dynamic'' setting looks best to me, and I guess that's all that matters, lol. * +
