My pc has been switching its self off this days and it only comes on after few hours later,i took every thing out trying to trace the cause but no luck am now left with the mobo and i bought it last year its a asus m3n78-vm. * +

More info: after it switches off ,i take the power cord out and put it in then wen try to turn it on ,the power led comes on and then off ,its like theres a short some were but not sure,after i swtch it off for several hours it finnally switches on and then off again after some hours.its driving me insane and i formatted like a hundred times * +

Put everything back together and make sure all the power connections are plugged proper. Sounds like it was short circuiting. Some mobos don't come on after a short circuit for a while for safety. * +

It can also be a messed up capacitor on the board. Test the capacitors on your board and see whats happening if you have time. * +

sounds like a heat issue to me. reset bios to optomised defaults reboot and see if the problem persits. cun some apps like speedfan and prime 95 and see what you get for results. high temps on the cpu, probably means new paste needed and dont use toothpaste this time. * +

lol toothpaste doesn't work. I tried it. Its nonsense. Yeah it can be the CPU is heating up too. * +

@jaymack you dont forget dude hai,ok i think i finally traced the problem,i installed dis software that comes wif my mobo called pc probe wat it does is it monitors temp,volt ect,so its warning me but i dont quite understan the warnings its warning on the voltage but i don t understand wat voltage becoz everything is on default,it showa vcore @ 3.something and then shows me 3.3 @ 4.05 mark red tis shows that the problem is on 3.3 but wat is 3.3 * +
