depends on what you wish to use the laptop for . i personally have 2 laptops ,one for my music using serato scratch live with a core 2 duo and 4gb ram and cr*ppy intel graphics but the performance of the graphics doesnt matter as its only used for music , and a nvidia ion netbook that i use for movies and as a sat nav when at work , * +

if you're one of those persons who like to max games then search for one with a nvidia GTX 460M or better on the ati side ati mobility 5870, 5850 is well enough to play any game *
