I've got a spare 80GB Seagate HDD in good condition but it has a IDE connector, not SATA... My mobo has only SATA connection sockets and I'm using my 320GB SATA HDD... Now I want to make use of the 80GB one as spare... Is it possible somehow?... Is there any IDE to SATA or SATA to IDE converter cable available?... Or I've to through it away.... * +

Yes there are both IDE to SATA and SATA to IDE converters, but dont waste your time and your money on these. Hard drives are SO cheap these days, what you want a 80GB IDE hard drive? Go buy a new one, my 500GB Seagate cost me 38 euros! and my two 1TB Seagate cost me 132 euros both, this mean 66 euros each! 5 years back, with 66 euros you could buy a 80GB drive eyeroll * +

Y thrash it . It can be used as scratch disk if you use adobe photoshop. Also you can set the page file on it which is by default set on c drive. Thus removing some load on main drive and distributing the work. And a single ide to sata convertor should not cost more that 50inr if its available. * +
