Pentium D 935 @ 3.2 GHz vs Pentium Dual-Core E6600 @ 1.8 GHz. which one performs better? * +

E6600 * +

E6300 @ 1.86 for the most part was equal to or beat out the Pentium D EE 965 @ 3.73ghz. So it would be a walk in the park for a downclocked E6600 * +

khm... sorry, misinformation... it's something from E2000 series, not E6600... * +

probably makes no difference. They might be closer but you would still always be better off with the newer architecture * +

ok, so, when i had my Pentium D 3.2 GHz, the Windows 7 Experience Index rated it @ 4.9. now, with the Pentium Dual-Core E2160 1.8 GHz, it rates the processor @ 4.6. my friend told me that it could be because of the frequencies. truth or lie? :D * +

windows experience index is a load of cr*p thats why * +

i know, that, since the Core micro-architecture, the frequencies doesnt mean almost anything at all, Pentium D was the last one which relied on the frequence, i know that much, so im not worried, just curious. ;) * +
