I have lots of avi xvid movies I want to convert them completely to dvd vob format wat software do I need..wen converting they must be split like a normal dvd disc so that I can burn them as dvd..I can convert the file to vob but it doesn't read as dvd wen I'm burning to disc I only can burn as data disc.. * +

i don't think you're doing yourself a favor by converting those AVis to VOBs. the resulting files will lose a lot of quality and most likely be even larger then the AVIs so in the end,you will need more then one DVD to burn them all at satisfying quality. but for information sake,theoreticaly,avidemux can help as it contains a MPEG_TS container but it may be a bit complicated. never needed this functionality so i can't help you any better * +

Why convert to DVD even the cheapiest players now have avi playback! As stated above quality issues and file size will make it hard plus every time I've converted stuff to DVD lip sync is cr*p! Have fun with google * +

use convertXtodvd cool it converts and burns to dvd also * +
