Ok so I know nothing about computers so any help would be appreciated! I press the power button, the little touch buttons by the keyboard light up and the fan goes on but the screen stays blank. Any ideas? * +

hmm overheating or boot sector on the hard drive is failing most likely,or could be malware. Try getting hold of a copy of spinrite or hdd renerator and an antivirus distro to run at boot! A bit technical but it's all i can suggest except next time you do get it to boot up go to the propertys tab of your drive goto tools and run a full disc check! *
