My pc was seized from my mates house,still yet to get it back, when I do I'll strip it down n replace the hdd even though there was nothing incriminating on it,I may even change the mobo even though it's only a few yrs old,u ain't buggin me copper lol * +

Monitors often have memory , and a specialist may be able to retrieve images from that memory . Not to mention somebody with an older crt monitor may have a certain amount of screen burn that can show what background and shortcuts they use . * +

normaly the police will only confiscate a computer if they think its been used for 1 of 3 things kiddy p*rn, piracey, and fraud... if there looking for kiddy p*rn and you have kids then the best thing to do is forget your m8, forget where he lives and get rid of any contact info. better to be safe than sorry for your kids sake.... * +

my sis had her pc confiscated because 1 of my bro inlaws m8's was in an argument with his GF, she phones the police telling them he had kiddy p*rn. the police took his pc and my bro inlaws as the guy had access to it while he was staying at my sis's house while the argument went on... when the raid happend they took everything but it turned out that his gf had actualy put the pictures on the pc herself. she didnt know they are time stamped and she uploaded them while the guy was at my sisters. * +

anyways wor sis got her pc's back and banned wor kids m8 from the house (as any normal person would do) but it turned out there was a ring of truth in the gf's accusations, about 6 months later the guy was arrested for grooming... * +
