a lot of laptops have the provision for bluetooth meaning the drivers are allready there but the actual bluetooth hardware is usually optional. having said that bluetooth is usually a standard affair on all recent vaios even the E series.iam surprised its not there on your vaio if its only last years model. * +

but having said that you might want to check the bluetooth settings just to make sure. the only way to know for certain if your vaio has the bluetooth hardware is to ring Sony quoting the service tag number which can be found on the bottom of the machine.(also be aware that on e series vaios the wireless lan switch should be switched on in order for the bluetooth to function at all. you can still deactivate the wireless while keeping the bluetooth on by deactivating it in the sony software) *
