@edit.or, that's what you want to believe. MS Windows development is a disasterous clusterfk where even the dev teams are not all even connected to each other. I generally see a big load of ''i want to believe'' coming from casual consumers who think they know anything about anything. This is exactly what Microsoft is aiming for. They are stopping the trying because they are realizing they can sell anything to you guys now. And it's called a CONSUMER preview on purpose too. * +

Not to mention that MS was going to an okay direction with 7. All they had to do was improve on it. What they can do now is either make 8's UI and behavior WAAAAY more configurable (read: strippable) or split it into proper versions like traditional desktop, tablet/touch etc. *
