Thing is, about the ps3 port, its got similar damage. Melted. So, my guess is that purchasing a hdmi cable to test MAY be a waste of cash. I dont use hdmi on anything else. Even though the dvds and tv support hd cables, since I do most of my business on my pc (gaming, watching whatever etc), and thats hooked up to a projector when not on my monitor. * +

this is precisely the reason why connecting any cable to anything thats already on is a bad idea. youre lucky the telly still works, as sensitive as some can be. * +

Yeah, I know Kazannts. Usually take the time to unlplug or switch off, this time I didnt, taking it for granted. Got a AV cable, ps3 still works like well so, no problem there. TV is fine as well, for now. Anyways, thanks guys. *
