My network provider has 4G now i have phone that has 3G but i only get edge and thats good enough for streaming but now its receiving data slow as if it were regular gprs what might be the problem * +

Too many 4G users hogging up the bandwidth of the cell towers would cause poor speed on 3G network. * +

In settings/netwok, change your network settings to wcdma/umts only and search for networks manually. If your network has 3g coverage in your area it must show up in available networks. If you want to switch automatically select duel mode.You will get only edge network if network settings is in gsm only * +

Mok i thought so too..but i waited until everyone was asleep about 1 am in the morning so as to get better speeds but i dont think they were fast asleep it might still be network congestion. @war3 thanks i did that but its still the same, its a sony w890i with hspda but that doesnt seem to make a difference.. * +

Just wondering i know your speed depends on wether your network is having a good or bad day but is there a way to increase speed *
