Hi there I have a laptop that wont load windows 7 i get to the windows loading screen but it hangs there for about 10 mins then crashes to blue screen saying unmountable boot volume. note i can get into the BIOS menu * +

black screen with white arrow is as far as i could get,nothing would load. tried to reinstall windows by using the installation disk but it wouldn't boot from there either, just black screen. then you get the app crash saying UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME * +

Hard disk failure. Remove and replace hard disk and reinstall windows from backup or recovery cd's. * +

Your laptop HDD requires a SCSI controller or, less likely is the HDD is fkt. Check for a SCSI controller, or go into BIOS and set the HDD to 'native' or 'IDE'. Doesn't matter if u have SATA just try that it should work. *
