recently installed the consumer preview version of windows 8 and as its the first time ive tried a beta product I was curious to know how long the operating system stays active. according to a third party tech site it will end in february 2013. according to microsoft support it will end once windows 8 launches. * +

do you think this means we wont see windows 8 untill next year? if so it seems microsoft may have broken their promise of a 2012 launch? * +

microsoft break a promise? what a surprise not! past trends show this to be nothing unusual!I suppose it depends on the reliability of that 3rd party site you mentioned. * +
