If you just want it for films, go for the blu ray player. IF you will game on it, then get the PS3. just be careful of buying 2ndhand PS3's * +

The difference is one designed to plays movies, displys pictures and plays music. While the other one is designed to play video games, and all the other features were added as an afterthought. * +
