The brand isn't really THAT important. What do you need to use it for, will you be using it for games or video editing, or just for browsing the web, watching videos and simple stuff? * +

Thinkpad = Web surfer, email checker, basic multimedia player. I don't see how that could be considered best computer brand/model. 
But really, what do you need the computer for? Some are better than others when it comes to certain functions. * +

I do computer science and so i will need it to run heavy programs, play music, surf web, gaming and all that. * +

obviously lenovo, model depends on what he's after, he wants gaming so don't go for the x series like what i've got, others worth a look tho * +

Then I would choose a laptop gaming rig very similar to what Alienware has to offer. Just visit thier website and see what you like, then shop around for something with the same specs or better.
