I learnt Win XP's mint wit games? I want to make the switch... The win7 premium that came with the notebook suddenly became slow even with existing and new games. Pes11 used to run smoothly but now it skips alot and so does bf3 and dirt showdown.. The graphics card is ATI Radeon 5470, 3gig RAM, 320HDD..... I hope i wont regret this? And also, i downloaded d iso for the OS, how do i completely remove win7 and load the winXP with a usb? * +

Your Graphics card is not really great for gaming, try lower the setting on the game n maybe do a Cclean to get rid of some just files that may clog up ya system * +

suddenly became slow. so if you love win7,just reinstall win7 and see whether it solves the issue. if it happens again after some time, then it will be easier to track what caused it. it could be a graphics driver update or automatic windows update or direct x update etc. or some program messed with the system.. * +

Reinstalling the OS is a lazy wannabe IT techs solution to every problem. What is wrong with that is you never find out what caused the problem in the first place. Methinks your pc could have become part of a botnet. And believe me, if you downloaded a trojan horse rootkit, installing Windows XP is only going to make the problem worse. * +

if i am to find out what causes every problem in microsoft windows,i'd end being a true IT tech support professional. but i'd hardly get any work done, any time soon. so,no,i'm not being lazy,i'm being practical. you will also easily spot the root of the problem with a clean install then with a mess of reconfigured entries over years of use. most users would be fine with a simple solution, those with a bit extra time on their hands can go and 'debug' their system.. * +
