My laptop is a 1st gen i5 2.4ghz 2.66ghz turbo n can reach 84c on full load while gaming n 40c idle, had nO problems with it, got a cooling pad n lowered the temps by about 8c, got a cooler with a 2.5inch hdd bay so a nice extra 500gb storage *
