Did a full re-install of the vista OS after that deleted all software that came with it that don't use as well the trail versions. Now it's running great loads up in less then min :-) * +

i do have the same problem. since windows update everything went godididly slugish, from booting, displaying start menu and even taskbar now took 1 minute or more, and the worst thing is i'm unable playing songs with media player while browsing. b4 update, it wasn't like this. maybe it was microsoft's fault? * +

i'm using sysinternal page defrag which is loaded every booting, removing junk using ccleanr on regular basis, defraging registry using regcompact.net on regular basis, keeping installed programs and unneeded services and startup entries (contain only synaptic and intel gpu drivers, and bluetooth) as little as possible, but it dont help a bit. to make things worse windows goes bsod each time i scan memory 4 malwares or when i hook up 'unapproved' devices eg android or winmo fonez thru usb *
