Ok,so I might sound like a nooby, but is there a way,like a separate cable (usb maybe), that you can connect ur pc to ur tv,to watch dvd's,etc? Often when I play dvd's in my dvd player,they tend to play eratically,getting stuck on frames etc. But when playing on pc its fine....hence the reason I'm asking? * +

depends on what connections the telly has. usb won't work. hdmi would be easiest. * +

sum old crt tellys have a serial port...if u stuck with only composite connections, ur best option wud b a gfx card that has composite connections 2. * +
