when booting up press F8 then choose Repair Your Computer press enter then from there choose Startup Repair. Sometimes it may take running a startup repair a few times before it fully fixes the startup issue * +

second thing to try: @Startup Repair 1st Command Prompt 2nd At the C: prompt, type cd boot and press Enter. 3rd At the C:Boot prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command. Code:bootrec /FixMbrbootrec /FixBootbootrec /RebuildBcd * +

Alvar thanx. The 2nd option assumes windows is working hence @START do abc, CMD enter code, etc. ''''my laptop is old and a 'few' hands had had their setups, repairs, installions, configs; that include de-asembling, and who knows what!!? ''So im doing a DISK SANITIZER. should i install the manufacturer setup disk as my 2ND STEP? * +
