I would download all needed Win 7 drivers FIRST, create a 40GB partition, install Win 7 to it, boot into Win 7, move all the folders you want to keep on the old Vista partition to the root of that partition, delete all the old Vista folders that you don't need including the Vista OS folders, remove the Vista OS entries from the boot menu. * +

You can either remove the Vista boot entry manually or use EasyBCD * +

U can get a widows to usb loader that will enable u to create a bootable flash drive for windows 7 OS. * +

i hear ppl telling u the pro steps they should tell u a simple thing to visit www.hirensbootcd.org/download and get that iso it have mini xp to enable u to take out ur impotances from the drive then u format .formating its nt a healthy thing for the drive when its nt neccesery as people lyk to do so .that iso have every thing from twicking win7 to take ownership to edit system folders to hardware testing the health of it recovery ,password removals etc write that iso on disk then ul be having a * +
