right iv got a parckard bell easy note tj75 which has stopped working been told its most likely the motherboard thats blown and was just wondering can i buy a cheap generic one or will it have to be a 200 plus packard one ? * +

it was a repair tec im taking it to in the morning . symptom simple get the blue power light when the ac is plugged in but will not turn on . it did do the other day full charge on battery then just went off you know like when a tv blows it just makes a hissing sound and zaps the picture . hoping it is just something basic like a loose wire faulty power supply * +

Most probably hardware problems. If you are looking for a cheap laptops, try US ebay. I got some good i5 laptops for as low as 70 quid. My current one is an i7 vaio laptop with 500gb and 8gb ram and got it for like 200quid plus shipping 
the seller sold me as pre used but its new as fk, think the bug*er stole it. *
