Well, i7 3770k is awesome for photoshop. I'd also get about 8 or 16 GB RAM. Mushkin Redline is good. Get fast RAM. 1600 MHz and up should be good. Be sure it has good CAS latency. For a GPU, nVidia GTX 660. Maybe an x58 mobo, Gigabyte has a few that are good and cheap-ish. Corsair Builder 600w psu. * +

eh, if you absolutely need an optical drive get a cheap Samsung or Liteon. The case, get something that has decent air flow. * +

Ok, that gives me some idea. So, many people tell me AMD is a better choice for photoshop use, becoz it's a multi-threaded app and that's where it shines. More cores - more performance rule. Should i be lookin at AMD procys then? * +

well amd is cheaper if you want a budget pc. the 3770k has 8 treads aswell and better core performance beating the fx-8350. but the amd fx 8350 and 8320 are dirt cheap compared to intel so the choice is up to you. you will be happy with whatever you choose, they both do theyre job well. * +

if you get the intel make sure it is the k series and get a descent aftermarket cooler then overclock it to 4.5ghz and it will eat everything you throw at it i own a 3770k and it is a beast * +
