Hi guys, i have a problem here. I have a compaq evo n610c laptop. Yesterday, when i turned it on, there is a notif saying that SMART harddisk has imminent failure but i can ignore it by pressing F1 and it turned on normally. But the problem is, when the laptop gets hotter, suddenly, the laptop is hang and showing abstract display. Could you tell how to fix this. Thanks. * +

Anyway, in my recall, few days before this problem happened, my laptop got attacked by TRojan virus via flash drive and i try to re-install the WIndows for several times because my Windows dvd installer didn't work or corrupted. I also tried to format the HD with quick FAT mode. Since then, the problem started occuring. Anyway, i always use a fan when my laptop gets hotter and it works just fine. But when i try to open heavy software like PES 2009, the laptop is hang again. * +

if you get alot of errors using windows disks try formating using a linux disk or usb drive or stick. * +

Hi alvar, thanks for your help. But after finding the same problem on Google, most of them say that this can only be fixed with replacing the hard drive. Is there any solution? * +
