im using artic sylver ceramique its the same as artic sylver 5 in performance. really good paste. * +

never ever use a toothpaste it contains flouride which affects transistor inside processor adversely if exposed for longer period and higher temperature continuously * +

I actually like the cermique its a good paste . never rated artic silver . Im using ic diamond at the moment . but to be honest any good paste will do . * +

thermal paste is cheap so why look for an alternative like tooth paste, just dig deep and order some decent stuff, arctic silver and ceramique are good value for money, a little goes a long way, the pc shop that repairs my stuff uses Arctic silver 5 and only charges 10 to replace thermal paste and do a general's clean of the system (blast of compressed and a quick flyover with a low powered hoover) I get my paste replaced once a year roughly * +

Arctic Silver 5 is still the best out there, but I personally use CoolerMaster's ThermalFusion 400; not expensive, but it works like a charm. Almost on par with AS5. *
