plug your device into pc, click start, control panel , device manager. look for your device, left click select properties, click drivers, then click install. windows will look for driver and install. from there, go back to control panel and double click game controllers ..... then calibrate and enjoy gaming * +

Sometimes the receiver does not install correctly when you just plug it in. Controller won't connect? Just flashes right?
This is a common problem but easy to solve.
You go to control panel, Hardware and sound/view devices, find the unidentified device that has popped up and right click/properties on it. Hardware tab. Properties button.
Driver tab. Update driver.
Browse my computer for driver. Let me pick from a list.
Windows common controller for Windows class
Xbox 360 wireless receiver. Update with this.
Controller should now connect and get the usual upper left quadrant light solid. Pressing the guide button shows you status. * +
