hi bought a vodaphone dongle to have mobile broadband and when i went to install it on my laptop it said error the language on the dongle isnt recognised by my laptop im using windows xp any advice would be great * +

Yeah dump windows xp and get windows 7 or a linux distro if it is an old laptop . * +

What are the specifications of your laptop. There are many linux distros that you can look in to. Some lighter versions run like charm on older hardware. Plus Linux will be free.

Pick the version, download, extract the files to a folder on your HDD, run setup and upgrade. Note you can only upgrade from a 32 bit (x86) version of XP to a 32 bit version of win 7, same with 64 bit (x64). * +

You know I just thought about this and I'm not sure if you can actually do an upgrade from XP to Win 7. It's been so many years since I last used XP.
