actually opera user a proxy to access the web. if you're talking about using opera with this then its site. if it's a complete loss then it could be your operator blocking opera's proxy * +

Thanks geoneil. Im just waiting, to see if it starts working again. San_06, opera mini works by communicating with servers owned by opera. these servers deal with the browser, then change the requested page to a format the mini browser can handle. Hell, u really believe a full browser could fit in less than 100K of java? Ha! * +

Thanx mgmt. A development: under ToolsHelpIntroduction is a test to check yr phone has a suitable GPRS/3G link. My old orange sim is ok, but my new orange sim doesnt have a suitable link! Any idea how this may be fixable. Also, when i finally get thru to vodafone uk to activate its GPRS, will it work with Opera Mini? ie, anyone here successfully use opera mini with vodafone uk? * +

@deadpunk - can't help with the voda question I'm afraid. Re: Orange - you presumably have several settings available for connection (Orange Internet, Orange GPRS wap, MMS, music player etc.) try changing your default setting from Orange Internet to Orange GPRS wap or vice versa, you should then be able to connect. * +

Thanx garion: but between taking out the old sim and putting in the new one, i havent changed any of the settings. What works with one orange sim doesnt work with the other. Doesnt make any sense to me. Also: can someone plz tell me if opera mini works with vodafone uk pay as u go? Someone knows whether it works or not. Plz tell me! * +
